Nationwide Credit Inc. Collector of Defaulted Student Loans

Nationwide Credit Inc. is a collection agency that collects delinquent student loans on behalf of the Department of Education. Court documents from prior lawsuits against Nationwide Credit indicate it is on contract with the Department of Education and goes after consumers when they have failed to repay a student loan debt. Generally, student loan creditors are the toughest to deal with and very aggressive when it comes to their collection methods. If Nationwide Credit contacted you about a debt, then they probably used aggressive collection tactics which include harassing phone calls, threatening letters, and/or legal proceedings.

Importantly, Nationwide Credit will report that you defaulted on a student loan to the credit reporting agencies. This type of derogatory information on your credit record may prevent you from getting a job, promotion, or approved for financing such as an auto or home loan. Under the current credit reporting laws negative information such as a Nationwide Credit collection or defaulted student loan may remain on your credit report for up to seven years from the first delinquency.

Fortunately there are credit reporting laws you can employ against Nationwide Credit Inc. and other collection agencies to remove negative items prior to the seven year mark. One way to clean up your credit is to research the credit laws and then repair your credit own your own. Another way to go about the situation is to enroll with an affordable credit restoration law firm. I tried some do-it-yourself methods when I started fixing my credit, but then ultimately enrolled in the Lexington Law Firm Program and got some really fast results.
