Alegis Group, LP (Alegis) is a collection agency that goes after consumers who have allegedly failed to honor a contract usually associated with consumer debt. Alegis Group LP has been associated with other collections agencies including Sherman Acquisition and Resurgent Capital Services.

Although company records are confidential, Alegis Group LP typically purchases junk debt meaning they buy (rather than service) debt from the original creditor. Thus, this gives them 100% of the rights to collect a debt. In this way Alegis Group LP is allowed to utilize aggressive techniques including harassing phone calls, collection letters, and legal proceedings.
